In a continuing effort to recognize excellence in the field of financial education and literacy, the Iowa Jump$tart Coalition is pleased to present the Financial Literacy Educator of the Year Award. The award is designed to recognize an Iowa educator for integrating, teaching, and promoting financial literacy and responsibility.

The 2006 Financial Educator of the Year award is sponsored by the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. The award is open to all secondary educators in the state of Iowa. A check for $250 will be awarded to the winner.

To be eligible for the award, the nominee must:

• Be a current full-time educator in an Iowa high school or middle school.
• Demonstrate a commitment to teaching sound financial principles to students.

To apply for the award:

• Complete the nomination form.
• Please include a letter of recommendation from a colleague or administrator familiar with your endeavors to teach financial responsibility.
